Hida Sugi is a Japanese cedar tree that is light and soft in texture. Sourced from the Hida forest in central Japan, called Hida Takayama in Gifu Prefecture, it’s been valued as a cherished wood since ancient times. Its fresh woody scent is gentle, yet has a well-balanced fruity depth. Hida Sugi essential oils originate from the center of the Japanese archipelago where the unique topography is framed with mountains in the East and West and rivers and canyons in the North and South.
